Antiquing and Pleasant Surprises :)

I just got back home from one of the best antique/estate sale trips ever!

This afternoon I went to my nearest antique mall with no hopes of finding anything. Although, I did manage to find these great board games from the 60's and a few knitting patterns from the 60's and 70's.

I left really excited about the board games and told my mom how I wanted more! Well anyways we decided to go get an ice cream cone and passed by a sign that said estate sale. Now it was pretty late in the afternoon by now, so it didn't seem like a good idea to stop and look around. We got our ice cream and my mom was like let's just go and see, but we ended up missing the street. We kept on driving until the road turned into a dead end, so we turned around. I told my mom let's just go look at that estate sale. She agreed and we made it to the house. As we walk in the house, we see my second grade teacher whom I had not seen since I was 11 or 12! It was such a great surprise! :D It was really nice seeing her, she was always one of my favorite teachers. After seeing her, I know we'll keep in touch!

I then started to look around and found all these great fabrics from the 60's and 70's (I must have left with 6 trash bags)! Plus a vintage board game (: How ironic, huh? lol

So this is what I ended up taking home...

I know I won't need to go to Joann's for fabric anytime soon! Most of the fabric is about 3 yards, so that's more than plenty for a dress! (:

Oh and here's the vintage board game!

Hope all of you are having a great weekend! <3
