Expectations vs. Reality

It's already April? Where has time gone?

These days it's been all school, work, and no fun for this girl.

Responsibilities have made me somewhat lose interest in sewing. How awful is that? I still love sewing, but honestly I feel like there's no time. As mentioned, I have to go school and work, plus random chores. By the end of the day, I just want to crawl in bed and watch Netflix.

I had planned to take part of Sew for Victory, but I don't know where I'm going to pull time out for it. I had my pattern picked and realized I need to purchase fabric for it. I then realized I have about 5 U.F.O'S (unfinished garments) and 3 closets full of fabric. Yes, that's right I have 3 closets full of fabric.

I since then made a decision and promise to myself that I'm going to sew through my stash before I actually buy fabric. My semester ends mid May and I will have plenty of time to tackle projects. If there's anything you'd like to see me make, just ask (: I'll write more about that when the time comes.

On the plus side, I've been able to do several styling jobs. I'll be able to share photos when the time is right. If you're a photographer in the DFW metroplex and would like to work with me, please feel free to get in contact with me.

As for now, I'll leave you with what I wore today.

1960's Dress via Thrifted -- 87 cents
Wedges via Target -- 5 dollars

Total Price -- $5.87

I picked this 1960's heavy weight linen dress at one of my favorite thrift stores for a whooping 87 cents! I think it's going to become one of my most worn dresses during the summer. The dress appears to be homemade, but it's excellently constructed.

Until Next time --- I'll be sharing about an upcoming sale at one of my favorite stores (;

    1. It was a fabulous deal! I have no clue why they would price it cheaply, but it is slowly becoming my favorite choice for late spring/early summer.
