Buffalo Exchange Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Today they were at the Dallas location and of course I went to check it out!

Now for those of you who are familiar with the location, finding a parking spot is pretty challenging. Actually, parking on Greenville in general is always a nightmare! I had to do 2 drive arounds before I actually found a spot. It was really exciting to see the airstream and people surrounding it. I always feel like people are going to beat me to the good stuff.

I eventually made it the the airstream and was happily greeted and encouraged to take lots of pictures of the airstream.

Inside the airsteam there was tons of clothing, shoes, and accessories. It hands down is one of the coolest moving vehicles/trucks/trailers that I've stepped foot in. I don't know why I didn't take my camera with me, so my iphone had to do the trick! However, the photos don't do the decor/merchandise justice at all!

I love how those 1970's shoes were repurposed into a ring tray.

This was the back end of the trailer and well a mirror pic is always a must!

I'm obsessed with the handbags they had! If only I had more room in my closet (;

I was told that the tie actually belonged to one of owners.

Here I am with my friend Christina.

Now that you all know about the airstream looks like. I'm sure you guys want to know what kind of merchandise was in there. Well, the racks were still pretty full with lots to look at. There was a TON of vintage clothing!!!! Most of the clothing dated to the late 60's to the late 70's because that's around when the first location opened. A lot of the clothes had/have a western/bohemian feel to it. I saw lots of pretty things, but they weren't my size :( But that's how it goes when shopping vintage. I have a theory that if something is meant for you, then you will receive it one way or another.

I found one item and that's okay! It'll be a nice keepsake and reminder of my fun experience. It's a 1970's circle skirt, that comes mid calf. I've seen a lot of magazines talk about how it's the current "go to" skirt. I can't wait to see how many outfits I can get from the skirt.

I was also given a tee shirt, bag, pins, temporary tattoos, a pen, and a sticker.

 I even got a nice shout out on instagram (: Thank you Buffalo Exchange!!
