Chicago! & Everything Else!

Hey everyone!

So as I mentioned last time, I hadn't blogged since I decided to go out of town very last minute. Well I've been out of town since last Wednesday and will continue being out of town until next week! I went up to Chicago for a few days and now I'm visiting some of my family in North Carolina :)

I had such a great time in Chicago and wish I could have stayed there a little longer to venture out into some thrift stores. While there I did manage to go to the top of the Sear's Tower or now Willis Tower, had lunch in Chinatown and walked in a few shops, visited quite a few vintage shops in Wicker Park, had a vegan s'mores brownie from Bleeding Heart Bakery, went to a wedding, and visited family :) I'll include some random pictures

Not too long ago I read The Black Dahlia by James Elrloy and after I kinda became OBSESSED with 40's and 50's fashion! So I've been pin curling my hair alot and wearing dresses inspired by those two eras. I feel somewhat awkward about it because it's soo different with how I normally dress and fix my hair, but what do you think? Is it too much? because I feel like it is at times and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to combine the 40's/50's look with the rest of my clothes to get a more modern yet vintage look (if that makes sense) Do you have any ideas?

& now here are some pictures! :)

Now I'm here in North Carolina and I have managed to do some thrifting and antiquing, but I'll include pictures of all that later :P

  3. Your "look" is not too much, Allie - stop questioning and go w/it, gurl!

Like I told you before, I say you keep trying new things and ignore people who think you're weird or judge you for trying to be unique or "slightly" different from the norm.
